Migrate to Shopify
Move to Shopify without losing your momentum.
We plan and execute Shopify migrations from platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Wix, custom ecommerce systems, and legacy platforms — with close attention to data, SEO, operations, and launch readiness.
Scope
What we help with
The work that typically sits inside this service. Every engagement is scoped to what your store actually needs.
- Migration discovery and platform audit
- Product, collection, customer, order, content, and media migration planning
- Shopify store architecture
- URL mapping and redirect planning
- SEO preservation considerations
- Theme build or implementation
- Payments, shipping, tax, app, and integration setup
- Data validation, QA, and launch planning
Our approach
The risk is in the detail, so that is where we start.
Migrations fail on the parts nobody audited: variant structures that do not map cleanly, customer records without password equivalents, URL patterns that quietly change, integrations that only one person understood. We surface those early, plan for each one, and validate against the source data before cutover.
Source-data audit before scope
We inspect what you actually have — not what the old platform's export claims — and map it field by field.
URLs and redirects as a first-class task
Old paths are inventoried and mapped to new ones, with the exceptions listed rather than assumed away.
Validate, then cut over
Counts, samples, and edge cases are checked in a staged environment, and cutover follows a written runbook.
Deliverables
What’s included
What you receive from an engagement of this type. Exact deliverables are confirmed in the scope we agree together.
Migration plan and source-data audit
What you actually have, inspected directly, rather than what the old platform's export claims.
Data mapping documentation
Every field, variant structure, and edge case mapped to its Shopify equivalent, in writing.
Shopify configuration
Payments, shipping, taxes, markets, apps, and integrations set up and checked before cutover.
Import and validation support
Staged, repeatable imports with counts and samples verified against the source system.
Redirect plan
Old URLs inventoried and mapped to new ones, with the exceptions listed rather than assumed away.
Cutover and launch checklist
A runbook covering sequence, ownership, verification, and what happens if a step fails.
Post-launch support window, defined in scope
An agreed period of monitoring and fixes after go-live, with the boundaries set in advance.
We do not promise zero data loss, zero downtime, or preserved search rankings — no agency can. What we commit to is identifying the risks, planning for them, testing them in a staged environment, and validating the result before and after cutover.

FAQ
Shopify Migration FAQs
Direct answers to what teams ask before starting this kind of work.
Commonly WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, and bespoke or legacy systems. What matters more than the platform name is whether the data is accessible and consistent — that is the first thing we audit.
We inventory existing URLs, map them to their new equivalents, and implement redirects as part of launch, alongside metadata and structured-data continuity. Search results still depend on Google, so we plan and monitor carefully rather than guarantee rankings.
Customer and order history can usually be migrated, subject to what the source system exposes. Passwords generally cannot be transferred between platforms; the standard approach is a customer account activation or reset flow at launch, which we plan for in advance.
Cutover follows a written runbook designed to keep the disruption window short and predictable — typically DNS and configuration changes made at a low-traffic time. We plan for it explicitly rather than claiming there is no window at all.
Not necessarily. Migrating with a close visual equivalent reduces the number of variables at launch, and a redesign can follow once the platform is stable. If the current design is itself a problem, we will scope both together and be clear about the added risk.
Record counts and samples are checked against the source, key journeys are tested in staging, redirects are verified, and integrations are exercised with real-shaped data. Post-launch we monitor errors, redirect coverage, and search console signals during the agreed support window.
